Question for readers

Hey everyone, want more background stuff like how the inlays get worked out? Scanned sketches, dead ends, bits of inspiration?

Might as well start posting the process shots/scans of how SPQR or Mujaba came about, as they’re all on the laptop already.

It’s been an interesting growth cycle, as I am starting to see where I am efficient and where I suck at time management.

As someone said on one of their blogs, ‘Ship it’. And he wasn’t using the poker meaning of the phrase. He meant, ‘deliver’. At least I think that’s what he meant. Have to reread the entry now.

Doublequeen’s ASM inlay design: Club Mujaba

Very clean inlay, using the Bond film ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ as inspiration. Club Mujaba was in the film. The rays of light were around the entryway to the club. The pyramids were used for a location in the film too.

outbid on the 40 chip four denom sample pack by someone who then tried to get the bigger lot.

Happy I won the yellow spotted $5’s, but wanted the stack of ten of them from the first auction to get the chip # up to 89…

Oh well. They look so beautiful in the eBay photos, hope they really are.

That red $10 is awesoe too. Regrets = finding out you really wanted something and would have bid higher to begin with if it meant you could really win it.

More sm crowns coming

Just bought a rack of light greens off eBay.

And I’m bidding on two more auctions for more sm crowns on eBay.

I think the weight of the TRK side of the closet is fast reaching majority status.

GPI/Paulson has been relegated to the has been corner.

I think I will end up selling all the Aztars, even though Jim still is selling them. Even though the primary $100’s are so awesome in the hand.

Absolutely no use for all these chips…

They’re just depository tokens of actual monetary value. In my case, clay tokens symbolizing Cobra, mortgage and credit card payments.

Might as well make sure the ones in the closet that remain are truly ones I cannot find elsewhere in space and TIME. When the opportunity arises, I seem to keep jumping in.
