The first entry needs no introduction. CT is the divining rod for all things chip. It’s been a fun two years for me. The chip ‘collection’ has grown by leaps and bounds.
The second one, RCC, is a great site, as the owner, Larry Hollibaugh has been meticulous in archiving for your visual pleasure all the Reno casino chips that he has in his collection. I use it almost exclusively as a digital source book for inlay and edgespot color inspiration. It doesn’t hurt to scroll through the chips available for sale either, as there are hidden gems in there if you look hard enough.
(case in point, my TRK Plantation Casino solid roulette chips from Sparks, NV)
The third, my go-to mockup tool. I only wish it had one more option, the mixed chip stack I suggested a while ago. That way you could test your colors and edgespot configuration across your set by checking for denom color confusion in a ‘dirty’ stack. Don’t want a 2007 WSOP late denom disaster in your hands, do you? Sadly, this site is almost a year old in terms of updates to it’s rendering capabilities, but it is still a great tool in it’s ease of use and graphic touch.
The fourth, well, I’m an architect, so gotta have the archi-pr0n.
The fifth is there due to a recent kick in typography interests. Wish I had Fontlab because of this site. Draw up fancy character studies for killer hotstamp designs, I would.
#6, Rameniac. yums. I hate you if you are within driving distance of the LA noodle joints written up by this guy. Sounds like heaven. I’m stuck in Philly. Gonna have to try and find a bowl somehow…
And that’s all the blogs or websites I have that I check weekly if not daily. Try some, try them all, I love finding things through other blogs and blogrolls, hope you will too.
